About Us
GrassRoots Ohioans are a non-profit organization based in Athens County, Ohio, dedicated to community rights and cannabis reform. Our mission is to unify the population and educate them about local control and cannabis reform through seminars, lessons, and 'farmers market' plant exchange events. Grown from Ohio NORML, founded in the 1980’s we have made a tremendous impact changing laws at the local level thanks to the help of our members and volunteers. The core of our work lies in changing unjust laws and asserting local choice and control. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Our Focus
We at GrassRoots believe in the fundamental human right to cultivate any plants that was given to us by nature. We will fight tooth & nail to see that cannabis, and many people who use it get to see the light of day. Between showing up at the Statehouse to oppose the changes proposed following issue 2's passage, to working with the last prisoner project, our goal is to see to it that no person is incarcerated for growing a plant.

We help bridge the gap between the community and the legislature. We are directly involved with many legal framework changes you currently see in place throughout Ohio!
Community Involvement
Through our Community Involvement & Social Justice advocacy we have the potential to make real and positive change. This is one of our key areas of focus here at GrassRoots Ohio , and a source of much success for our Non-Profit Organization.
Education
GrassRoots Ohioans are dedicated to putting our Ohio community first. Our Educational programs provide a much-needed update to folks' understanding of the plant and our rights.
